Among the major European manufacturers of commercial vehicles, the Group MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG sells trucks and buses in Italy through the Man Nutzfahrzeuge Sud Vetriebe AG, based in Verona. Here are Public-Private commercial services, post-sales, logistic, sale of used vehicles, administrative and marketing offices. The bus range includes Man models in Lion’s City serie from 10.5 up to 18.75 meters for urban transports, the Lion’s U and Regio serie in 12.25, 13 and 13.9 meters for suburban services and the Lion’s Coach serie in 12, 13.26 and 13.8 for tourism. For the Neoplan brand are marketed the Tourliner in 12 and 13.8 meters, the Cityliner in 12.2, 13 and 14 m, the Starliner in 13and 14 m and double-decker Skyliner in sizes 12.4 and 13.8.
MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG is part of Man Group and produces trucks and buses with the logo Man and Neoplan. It is based in Monaco of Bavaria while production plants are a dozen in Europe between Germany (Monaco, Nuremberg, Salzgitter and Plauen), Austria (Steyr), Poland (Posen, Sarachowice, Krakow) and Turkey (Ankara). To these are added five others beyond the EU (Olifantsfontein and Pinetown in South Africa, Pune India, Queretaro Mexico and, last added in 2009, the plant at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia). As for the bus segment, the offer was extended from 2001 with the entry of the brand Neoplan in Man. Stratregic union due to the acquisition of Gottlob Auwärter GmbH & Co. KG by the MAN Nutzfahrzeuge Ag. The acquisition of the German body lead to the establishment of Neoman Bus GmbH, a company that until 2008 represented Man and Neoplan brands for the bus sector. Today the two marks refer directly to the Man Nutzfahrzeuge.
