Design, manufacture and sale of automatic transmissions for trucks, buses, off-road and military vehicles. This is the mission of Allison, a company founded in 1915 as the forerunner 'Indianapolis Speedway Team Company'. In addition to transmissions, Allison produces hybrid systems and remanufactured transmissions. Production facilities are located in Indianapolis (Indiana, USA) and Szentgotthard (Hungary). Allison Transmission is also present with its local branches, the centers for modifications and spare parts distribution centers in Santo Amaro, Sorocaba and Sao Paulo (Brazil), Sliedrecht (Netherlands), Shanghai and Beijing (China), Seoul (Korea South), Tokyo (Japan), and Singapore.
