Ford Italy is the Italian subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, historical American automobile company. The Italian sales network counts 119 dealers and 800 workshops. In Italy are traded a dozen car models with diesel engines, gasoline, LPG or CNG. There are also commercial vehicles in eight different models. For transport of passengers are proposed the Ford Transit and Tourneo. The first is a vehicle up to nine seats with three lengths and three engines, the second is realized in both versions of nine places and in the variant 'minibus' with capacity increased to 14/17 passengers.
The Ford Motor Company was founded in 1903 by Henry Ford. Entrepreneur who invented and inroduced techniques of mass production and assembly. Due to their convenience and economy, Ford cars were sold worldwide during the Twentieth century and the company opened branches in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. Ford then became owner of several automobile brands such as Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin, Volvo and Mazda with a share of 33 percent. Brands that Ford is forced to sell in recent years to cope with heavy financial losses resulting from international crises of the third millennium that have severely affected the automotive industry.
