Güleryüz is a producer of Turkish nationality. The origins date back to 1967 when the founders opened a workshop for the repair of damaged vehicles. In the following years they specialized in converting old buses on behalf of local public transport. A business that lead to the establishment of Güleryüz As in 1982 and to the building of buses on European chassis (Mercedes, Man, Renault). In 1991 started the production of double-decker coach for long distances on mechanical Volvo and Daf, models later equipped in luxury version. With these vehicles started the first direct exports to Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon. In 1999 Güleryüz launched the Cobra series, currently in production. First models are citybus from 9 to 12 m followed by 10.25 m version. In 2004 the Turkish company developed the 'open top' double decker for city guided tours. This model was also exported to Italy. In 2006 debuted the Cobra tourist version in medium size, model sold in several Eastern European countries (Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Austria, Greece). Cobra is finally built in intercity version in 11 m. The growth of production growth lead to the construction of a new plant in 2007 on an area of 70 thousand square meters of which about half built. Located 15 kilometers from Bursa, where the company is located, the plant began operation in 2008. Güleryüz currently ranks among the five 'big' of the Turkish bus market with a capacity of about 600 vehicles per year. Theese vehicles are sold in a dozen countries.
