HISTORICAL PRESENTATION

Gruau Microbus is a small company formed by the alliance between Groupe Gruau and Groupe Bolloré. These are two industrial French family-run but with a centenary past. Gruau was born in 1889 and in the last half century is specialized in developing passenger minibuses and vehicles for people with reduced mobility. Bolloré was established in 1822 and for more than 15 years its application field are the batteries and supercapacitors.
The Microbus of Gruau is a vehicle dedicated to the city and characterized by small size, full low floor and large windows. It is realized in thermal version with diesel engine and particulate filter (FAP) and in electric version equipped with electric motor (35 kW) and BatScap lithium batteries (three packs of 400 volts). For the electric version the running autonomy declared by the manufacturer is 120 kilometers, it takes about eight hours to recharge the batteries. The maximum speed is 50 chilometers per hour on level ground (25 with an 18 per cent.)
Gruau Microbus is based in St Berthevin in the Loire region, at the site of the Group Gruau. Here is built the Microbus while BatScap batteries are produced in the Ergué Gabéric plant in Britain (North of France).
