Isuzu Midi Europe is the importer of Isuzu vehicles in Europe. Headquartered in Cerea, near Verona (Italy), the company sells buses, trucks and pickups produced by the Japanese manufacturer. The bus segment is represented by minibus Tourqouse and midibus Novo Ultra.
The Isuzu brand is one of the most successful and long-lived in Japan for vehicles and diesel engines. Its origins date back to 1893 as 'Tokyo Ishikawajima Shipbuilding & EngineeringCo. Ltd '. The first car was launched more than eighty years ago following a joint venture with the British automobile manufacturer Wolseley Motor Ltd. The first air-cooled diesel engine for cars dates back to 1936 and since then the company has produced over 18 thousand engines. Isuzu motors currently produced range from 1000 up to 30,000 cc. Isuzu vehicles and engines are sold worldwide. In 1986, the Japanese manufacturer enters the property of Anadolu, turkish manufacturer of buses and commercial vehicles, with a share of 20 percent. So the Turkish company changed name in Anadolu Isuzu. Approximately 80 000 vehicles have been produced in the two decades under license Isuzu Motors.
