Q'Straint began its activities in Ontario (Canada) with a patent for a fully integrated 4-point wheelchair passengers securement system. The first one to introduce this security system in the automotive industry, the company relied in 1987 on a local distributor in Queensland (Australia). To meet the growing demand internationally, in 1992 Q'Straint opened an office in Great Britain. In the late 90's the company moved its headquarters in Florida serving the markets of North and South America. In 1999, the developed and introduced the first self-locking and self-tensioning anchorage system for wheelchairs. Both in 2004 and 2008 the products by Q'Straints were used in para-transit vehicles at the Athens and Beijing Paralympic Games. Currently the range includes, in addition to 4-point securement systems, flooring and anchorages, part and accessories and
wheelchair stations and modules.
