At the beginning was Trouillet. A car repairer's bought back in 1957 in Vanves (suburb of Paris) by André Trouillet. Entrepreneur who was oriented towards the construction of industrial vehicles. The company had a period of growth thanks to the coach of courier vans and sheeted trucks. In 1960 It built the first armored vehicle for a company cash and, afterwards, insulated and refrigerated vans. Meanwhile, local at Vanves became too tight and the company moved into the industrial area of Morangis, on the southern outskirts of Paris. In 1987, the company bought Ets Chardon, minibuses and coaches body builder. After a reorganization in 1997 that provided for the development of three production lines (armored trucks, refrigerated vehicles and vehicles for passengers), in 1998 was created Vehixel brand. Following the growth of armored activities and public transport vehicles, the company abandoned the construction of refrigerators means focusing on two main fields. In 2001 the company began to bodywork vehicles for safety to Police, Fire, Military. And in 2006 the started the rental business. Vehixel today employs 200 employees, has four manufacturing plants and declares a production of a thousand vehicles per year. For the passenger segment, the range includes low floor minibuses Cityos for urban transport with 18 to 43 seats and built on Mercedes Sprinter, Iveco Daily and Renault Master chassis. There are mini and midibus 20 to 32 seats on Volkswagen, Mercedes and Iveco chassis and equipped to scheduled, shuttle, tourism and schoolbus services.
