Volgabus is a Russian bus manufacturer based in Volzhsky, a city on the Volga River in southern Russia. Founded in 1993, the company began to produce buses in tourist class since 1995. Two years after presenting the prototype of a large Citybus with its own design. In 1999 It started series production with the brand Volgabus and since 2000 It introduced suburban and intercity buses. In 2001 It presented the first three-axle model in 15-meter, even in low floor a few years later. In 2007 the company opened offices in St. Petersburg and the following year inaugurated a second production plant in Baksan in the North Caucasus. The production range comprises buses for urban transport, interurban and tourism and models with VIP equipment. The company provides after sales service throughout Russia with the rapid provision of spare parts and technical support. Assistance is offered in foreign countries through cooperation with international suppliers.
