ZF Friedrichshafen AG is a German multinational company producer of driveline system for the automotive industry, founded in 1907 by the air-pioneer Ferdinand von Zeppelin for the support of his revolutionary (?) ideas on aviation field. ZF ITALIA has born officially in 1990 when the SIAM firm, authorized by ZF brand for Italy, was joined to the industrial German giant ZF Friedrichshafen AG. The range of products covers three main business areas: automotive (standard transmission, automatic transmission, axle, steering, clutch, gear shift, etc…), industry automation (hysteresis brakes, ) and marine sector ( reverser, from controllable pitch propeller to innovative surface drivers).
