Brand: Irizar
Reference brand of the Iberian market, Irizar produces regular service bus and coach for short, medium and long range. The long story of the manufacturer’s Basque begins in 1889 by the luxury wagons and coaches and then focuses, since 1933, on the bodies for buses. Irizar in 1963 becomes part of the Mondragon Corporacion Cooperativa (MCC). Some twenty years later founds the group consisting of portfolio companies Irizar manufacturer Basque: Irizar Tianjin (China, 1995), Irizar Maghreb (Morocco, 1997), Irizar Brasil (1998), Irizar Mexico (1999), Irizar tvs Ltd (India, 2001), Irizar South Africa (2004). In addition there are two components of society, Hispacold with its air conditioning and Masats with aluminum doors and ramps. The parent (Irizar Sociedad Cooperativa) is located Ormaiztegi, a town on the Basque province of Gipuzkoa. Here employs over 700 people and production capacity reaches a thousand units per year. If one considers the group as a whole, will exceed 2,900 employees and production reaches three thousand.
